Can you do therapy at my child’s school?

Services are best delivered in the environment that aligns with your child’s goals. This is determined on a case by case basis.

How long will my child need OT?

Occupational Therapy is based on the goals set between you and the therapist. Some developmental goals can be addressed with an intense block of therapy, while family based goals (such as learning to implement new emotional regulation strategies) may take longer.

At Integrate Holistic, most new clients are offered a block of 10 sessions to start working towards their goals. The duration and frequency of therapy is a collaborative discussion between you and your therapist.

Why does therapy look like you are playing?

Play is an extremely important developmental activity. In OT, play sessions are intentional, planned and crafted based on therapy models to teach children new skills that are aligned with their goals.

In other words, it may look like we are playing because we are!

Please speak with your therapist if you have questions about why the play activities have been selected for your session, as there will always be an intention behind the play.
